Adoption Process
Finding the perfect match between a pet and their forever home is our top priority. Here’s how our adoption process works:
Fill Out an Application
Start by completing our adoption application on ShelterLuv. This helps us learn more about you and what you’re looking for in a pet.
Interview with a Volunteer
Once we receive your application, one of our dedicated volunteers will reach out for a quick interview. We’ll discuss things like:
- The type of space your new pet will be living in
- What an average day looks like in your home
- How your current pets interact (if applicable)
This ensures we match you with a dog who fits your lifestyle and home environment.
Home & Vet Check
We require all pets in your household to be up-to-date on vaccines. As part of our process, we complete a video home check and a vet check to ensure everything is ready for your new furry friend.
Trial Adoption Period
Every adoption includes a built-in trial period. This allows you and your new pet to settle in and make sure it’s the perfect fit before making it official.
